The experience at Banyan Tree delivered a fantastic private pool villa and amazing views, but the facilities seemed a bit dated with minor maintenance issues. The friendly staff made the stay nice, while the dining offered impressive selections yet came with high prices. A relaxing getaway.

Nice styled and unique rooms, ABSOLUTELY KIND staff from waiters. Very comfy beds and a TV and a seating area. Location just next door to the Banyan Tree Bintan, a nearby medical center, and the Thai / Italian restaurant. Early check in and late check out.

Perfect for Couples Seeking Relaxation
Let me tell you, staying in that Rainforest Seaview Villa was like being wrapped in nature's embrace, filled with the sounds of birds and even some peculiar monkeys swinging by. And the staff? Omas and Kasir are gems, were very good too, even prepared some surprises for us at the villa. It was nice, you know?
It wasn't exactly cheap but honestly, worth the experience.

The villa was excellent - beautiful unblocked view of the sea from the outdoor area of our villa, to the bedroom and the bathroom. We were afraid that the villa may be worn out but to our surprise, the villa was very clean and in excellent condition. The outdoor area of the villa is large, so I was glad that I was able to do my yoga outdoor facing the sea in the morning and a good jacuzzi soak in the afternoon. The buffet breakfast was good. We didn't mind the lack of variety - what's there to complain when they serve champagne for breakfast. For dinner, while the food at the Thai Indonesian restaurant (Saffron) was very good (lots of surprises), we thought the food served at The Cove was mediocre.
Too dark at night. The property can do with a few more lights on the streets as well as the public area and the beach. Although we were given an excellent villa, we noticed that there are quite a few villas where guests will have to climb quite a long flight of stairs to their doorstep. These villas may not be very suitable for elderly guests.

The staff. Each employee was welcoming and they did everything to make our stay comfortable. Everyone was very professional. The restaurants are excellent and the portion sizes are generous.
No comments. Eveything was great

Fantastic resort located on the seaside in a wide environment; each room is in fact a private small house with all comfort, TV, wifi, terrace and Jacuzzi in our case. Great quality of the staff. Beautiful beach. Very good stay only from one hour by boat from Singapore.

The room decoration and the privacy.
I booked a birthday cake and Champange as a suprise for my partner's birthday. The staff who welcome us at the hotel confirmed this in front of my partner. I said to her "this was meant to be a surprise". She replied "you should have mention in the e-mail" I thought I confirmed by e-mail and isn't it totally unnecessary to confirm in front of the customer? It make sense it would be a surprise.

I stayed in the Rainforest Oceanfront Villa and the views were fine! The room had a nice outdoor area and a dipping pool to relax in. The pool was a bit dirty, and the room itself felt a bit aged. The sea view was mostly blocked, a letdown because I really wanted to enjoy a beautiful sea view from the window. It was a mixed experience in terms of comfort and maintenance.

Dated, overpriced, tonnes of Mosquitos, overall not worth the money. Not much of a view, no access to the beach.

Staff are polite and helpful. Services were prompt.
Overall, food served at the 3 restaurants in the resort was below expectation and unsatisfactory.
